Product design for children is not my area of expertise.

In my seventeen-year career, I have always worked in home decor. it may surprise some to learn, however, that I originally sought out to be a children’s book illustrator, and after 8 months of doing freelance after graduating, I decided to go to a job fair and, lo and behold, began this career.

Certainly no regrets, either. I truly love creating pattern for home. creating artwork for children, however, is something that has long interested me, so when I was tasked to create artwork for Pillowfort bedding and bath - Pillowfort being Target’s home decor brand designed specifically for kids - I was thrilled to have the opportunity.
