L. T. O. aka “limited time offer”
Target has long had a reputation as a retailer that likes to surprise and delight its guests, and a stellar example of this in the home space are design partnerships, brand collaborations that we internally refer to as “LTO”s.
I’ve worked on various design partnerships over the years - my first ever was between SCAD and Barnes & Noble in 2007 - but my first LTO at TARGLES was for Nate Berkus + Target© in 2015. I really loved his aesthetic; it was moody, monochromatic, and abstract. The prints here call to mind starker moments in life, deleting liminal spaces that obscure and exposing subjects in their original purity.
